asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions have been held by EEC Foreign Ministers in connection with the GATT negotiation.

The Council of Ministers approved the Community's overall approach to the GATT multilateral trade negotiations at its meeting on 25th-26th June. Copies of the Commission memorandum setting out this overall approach were made available in the Library and the Vote Office.

There was another Council meeting on the subject in Tokyo on 11th September on the eve of the opening of the GATT negotiations there.
