§ Mr. Gordon CampbellIn the financial year 1972–73 Government grant under Section 34 of the Transport Act 1968 for bus services was paid to local authorities in the following counties:
- Aberdeen.
- Argyll.
- Ayr.
- Banff.
- Bute.
- Dumfries.
- East Lothian.
- Fife.
- Inverness.
- Kincardine.
- Kirkcudbright.
- Lanark.
- Midlothian
- Moray.
- Nairn.
- Orkney.
- Peebles.
- Perth.
- Ross and Cromarty.
- Roxburgh.
- Sutherland.
- Wigtown.
In some of these counties assistance was also given towards rural ferry services. Grants for ferry services only were given in Shetland.
