§ Mr. Gordon CampbellAt 30th September 1972, the latest date for which statistics are available, 6,167 State enrolled nurses and 14,603 State registered nurses were employed in Scottish hospitals. The comparable figures for 1970 are 5,373 and 13,701 respectively.
