HL Deb 10 May 1973 vol 342 c592WA
LORD WINTERBOTTOM

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have now received the report of the Committee under Lord Nugent of Guildford on defence land holdings.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR DEFENCE (LORD CARRINGTON)

I have now received the report of the Defence Lands Committee, and I am most grateful to my right honourable and noble friend Lord Nugent of Guildford and his colleagues for all their work over the past two years.

The report is a long and detailed document but it will be published as soon as the necessary arrangements can be made. There will then be an opportunity for public comment and discussion so that all the views expressed can be taken fully into account by Her Majesty's Government in considering the Committee's recommendations.

House adjourned at a quarter past seven o'clock.
