§ Mr. Anthony StodartAbout £900,000 during the period from February to April 1973.
§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what quantity of wheat was denatured in 1972; and what proportion this represented of home-produced wheat.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartIn 1972 approximately two million tons of wheat were incorporated into compound animal feeding stuffs, a process eligible for a denaturing premium under the common agricultural policy. Of this, 71 per cent. was home-grown. So far as is known, no home-grown wheat was denatured by adding fish-oil or dye, but 886,024 tons of of such wheat was imported, mainly from the European Economic Community.
