§ Mr. Peter Archer
asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many persons are in receipt of retirement pensions in Northern Ireland, after qualifying in respect of National Insurance contributions paid elsewhere in the United Kingdom; and what is the total sum of money paid annually in respect of these pensions.291W
§ Mr. Peter Mills
Under the reciprocal arrangements which exist between the national insurance systems in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, contributions paid in one area count in the other. It is not possible to differentiate between pensions payable by virtue of contributions paid in Great Britain, in Northern Ireland or in both areas.
