§ BARONESS TWEEDSMUIR OF BELHELVIEA good deal of information on the European Parliament and its present powers has appeared in the Press and in other media. Those interested have had ample opportunity to inform themselves. In addition, the European Parliament itself plans to establish its own information office shortly in this country to keep the British people regularly informed about every aspect of the Parliament and its activities.
The solution to the problem of ensuring that all inhabitants of the United Kingdom have access to British delegates to the European Parliament so that they can raise issues there on their behalf lies in the closest possible liaison between those delegates and other Members of the British Parliament. It is the Government's policy to encourage such liaison.
