§ Mr. Tinnasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the provisions of the Transport Act 1968 or similar provisions in factory legislation which cover compulsory minimum rest 445W periods for conductors on public service vehicles.

There are no such provisions. Rest periods are, however, prescribed under Article 11 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 543/69, which applies from 1st April 1973 to international journeys and from 1st January 1976 to all journeys except regular services on routes not exceeding 50 kilometres.
