§ Mr. Hicksasked the Lord President of the Council what advice has been given to individual Departments of State concerned in respect of the preparation of explanatory memoranda relating to proposals for regulations, directives and relevant decisions by the Council of Ministers that have been published during the period 1st January to 12th March 1973; and if he will request that this information should be made available to Members as soon as is possible.
§ Mr. PriorDepartments are preparing explanatory memoranda, on the lines set out in paragraph 7 of the First Report of the Select Committee on EEC Secondary Legislation, on draft EEC Council instruments which have been published since 1st January 1973. They will be sent to the House as soon as possible.
