§ Mr. RipponUp to the end of February 1973 about 12,400 projects had been approved in England at an estimated cost of £29¼ million; the proportion of applications rejected is very small. These figures cover all assisted areas, including derelict land clearance areas as well as development areas and intermediate areas. The following table gives the breakdown of the figures by regions.
