asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) how many male manual and non-manual employees were in the public and private sectors, respectively, at any convenient dates in 1956, 1963, 1967 and 1971;

(2) how many female manual and non-manual employees were in the public and private sectors, respectively, at any convenient dates in 1956, 1963, 1967 and 1971.
