§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Secretary of State for Wales how many hospitals in Wales have provision for overnight accommodation for the mothers of young children.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasIt is the policy of the Welsh Hospital Board to make special provision for mothers to stay overnight, if they wish, in all hospitals to which children are admitted. In those hospitals at which it has not yet been possible to provide special accommodation, if mothers ask, or are asked to stay, accommodation is provided in side wards or in rooms close to their children.
