§ Mr. McElhoneasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many of the persons appointed to the health boards 405W have experience of work among the disabled; how many are classified as disabled themselves; and if he will list their names in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThis information is not readily available. In any event, health board members are not being selected as representatives of particular groups. Local health councils and the professional advisory machinery provided for in the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1972 will afford appropriate channels for bringing to the notice of health boards the needs of special groups of health service users such as the disabled.
