(2) what is the total export of live horses for slaughter to the Common Market countries for the latest available 12 months; how this compares with the corresponding preceding three years; what is the estimated percentage used for human consumption; and if he is satisfied that no unnecessary cruelty is involved in the shipment and slaughter of these animals.
§ Mrs. FennerMy Department has no evidence of shipments of horses for330W slaughter during the last few years. Consequently the other questions do not arise.
