§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkIn the 10 months ending 31st December 1972 the industrial tribunals heard 1,736 complaints of unfair dismissal of which 887 or 51 per cent. were dismissed as not unfair and 296 or 17 per cent. were dismissed because they were outside the tribunals' jurisdiction.
