subsidised welfare milk was withdrawn as part of the Government's plan to reduce indiscriminate welfare benefits so that more help could be given to those whose need is greatest. Entitlement to free milk on grounds of income was extended.
Milk is provided free of charge in schools to primary pupils up to the age of seven years, to older primary pupils 413W who require it on medical grounds, and to pupils receiving special education. There are no plans at present to extend these arrangements.
