HC Deb 24 July 1973 vol 860 cc514-5W
Mr. Molyneaux

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when the scheme for payment of rents to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive by Post Office Giro becomes operative; and if tenants are to be given an option to pay by other methods if they so desire.

Mr. David Howell

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive introduced its scheme for payment of rent through the Post Office Giro on 2nd April 1973. It is intended to apply these arrangements to all tenants during the next year. In cases of difficulty, it will be open to tenants to pay their rent by other means at the executive's district offices.
