HC Deb 24 July 1973 vol 860 c472W
Mr. Temple

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he has received a report from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds on the subject of the importation of pickled birds from Cyprus; and whether he will consider a ban on the import of pickled birds into the United Kingdom.

Sir G. Howe

I am not convinced at this stage that a ban is desirable or feasible but the matter is still being studied in the light of the report and other factors.
