§ Mr. Pounderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what sum will be paid to Lord Grey of Naunton, the last Governor of Northern Ireland, by way of compensation.
§ Mr. WhitelawIn accordance with the provisions of Section 32 of the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973, I have decided that Lord Grey of Naunton should be paid the sum of £10,000, after tax, as compensation for loss of office and in recognition of his outstanding services to Northern Ireland.
