§ Mr. Topeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will issue a circular to all local authorities encouraging them to provide adequate day centre facilities for the elderly of their areas.
§ Sir K. JosephLocal authorities are well aware of the need to develop day centre facilities and this is reflected in their current capital building programme. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the Department's Circular 35/72, paragraph 39 of which suggests guidelines for such provision.
