asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in view of the low prices being obtained by egg producers at a time of year when they traditionally rise, if he will take steps to inform housewives of this fact.

Producer prices for eggs have been making some recovery in the last few weeks following the falls after the spring holiday from the previous high levels. These changes have been reported in the information which my Department issues weekly on retail prices.
