§ Mr. Kinseyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will set up an inquiry into the incident of 26th June at Dudley Road Hospital involving a decision to attempt a kidney transplant from an accident victim without the consent of next of kin who were not available, the object of such an inquiry being to recommend a clearer code of practice to apply in similar circumstances.
§ Mr. AlisonI have asked the regional hospital board for all relevant information about the case. The need for an inquiry is one of the matters to be considered when this is available.
