asked the Prime Minister when he next expects to meet the TUC and the CBI.

I will be meeting the TUC on 27th July and the CBI on 30th July.

asked the Prime Minister if he will list the items which he intends placing on the agenda for his meeting with the CBI on 30th July.

As I told the hon. Member for Nuneaton (Mr. Leslie Huckfield) on 21st June, it was agreed at our meeting on 18th June that at our next meeting there should be a discussion of the economic situation, short-term constraints on growth, arrangements under a voluntary agreement, low pay and industrial relations. We will, no doubt, also cover the proposal, which I announced to the House on 18th July, that provision for threshold agreements should be made in the arrangements for stage 3.
