§ Mr. Spriggsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will seek to obtain and publish details of the cost of meeting the wages and salaries of EEC employees from the United Kingdom and other member countries, and the extent to which United Kingdom citizens who take up employment with the EEC will be a charge on the British Treasury or the EEC, respectively.

The wages and salaries of all EEC employees are met from the Community 319W budget to which the United Kingdom contributes in accordance with the provisions of the Accession Treaty.
