HC Deb 19 July 1973 vol 860 c209W
Mr. Spearing

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what approaches or requests she has received from teachers' organisations concerning her circular on the survey of teacher turnover; what action she took as a result of any representations; and what reply she sent to any requests received.

Mrs. Thatcher

Three teachers' organisations suggested changes in the draft questionnaires, not all of which could be adopted without overloading the forms. Later, one organisation suggested obtaining more information on salaries and age distribution. I shall bear in mind all the points made in planning any further survey.
