HC Deb 19 July 1973 vol 860 c176W
35. Mr. Benyon

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a further statement on the progress of his discussions on New York-dressed poultry.

36. Mr. Ewing

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has received from the British Poultry Federation regarding the effects of EEC regulations on poultry.

Mr. Anthony Stodart

The federation has expressed its concern that under the directive the sale of New York-dressed poultry will be prohibited from February 1976. We have raised the matter in Brussels and are pursuing it as a matter of urgency. I cannot, at this stage, say what the result will be.
