HC Deb 09 July 1973 vol 859 cc251-2W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will consider introducing a scheme of identity cards for children under 15 years of age so that large children who use clothes beyond the standard children's sizes should not suffer with regard to the requirement of paying value added tax.

Mr. Higgins

I have been asked to reply.

No. A scheme of this kind would be impracticable.
