§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what consultations there were between his Department and the Disabled Drivers Association and Disabled Drivers Motor Club in the assessment and user trials of the DAF 33;
(2) if he will list the numbers of invalid tricycles on issue for the years 1970, 1971 and 1972, respectively, listing the makes and models involved.
§ Mr. AlisonThis information is not immediately available but I will write to the hon. Member shortly.
§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will seek to obtain, and list, the witnesses who gave verbal evidence to Lady Sharp during the 282W ment, dating from national assistance days, which the Supplementary Benefits Commission would be reluctant to disturb; but the Commission has not thought it right to extend this special concession to payments in cash, which it considers should be treated under the Ministry of Social Security Act in the same way as other cash payments. Up to £1 a week is disregarded if the claimant has no other income which attracts a disregard.
