§ Mr. CarlisleWe have received large numbers of representations from hon. Members, interested organisations and members of the public. Many representations are still being received and it is too soon to make any assessment of the overall response to the Green Paper.
§ 44. Mrs. Shirley Williamsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will invite Members of Parliament who are interested in the matter to a conference with Ministers and their advisers on the Green Paper on firearms.
§ Mr. R. CarrNo. In the Green Paper we have set out the reasons for our proposals in some detail. Comments and representations have already been received by my Department from a great many sources, including hon. Members. Ministers and officials of my Department will, however, remain willing to receive deputations both of hon. Members and others as appropriate.
