HL Deb 03 July 1973 vol 344 cc234-6WA
LORD HYLTON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What sums have been expended by the London Boroughs on private bed-and-breakfast or hotel accommodation for homeless families during the last year (or half-year) for which figures are available; and how this compares with the preceding period.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SECURITY (LORD ABERDARE)

This information is not centrally available, but London Boroughs have been asked to provide figures relating to the use—not the cost—of bed and breakfast accommodation for homeless families beginning with the quarter ending June 30, 1973.

House adjourned at thirteen minutes before seven o'clock.
