§ Mr. BlakerThe latest available strength of the Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve is 59,300. Group A strengths comprise 47,600 in independent units—including 7,400 in the infantry-type units formed on 1st April 1971—and 8,500 in sponsored units, a total of 56,100. Group B strengths comprise 2,500 in independent units and 700 in sponsored units, a total of 3,200.
