§ Mr. Roger Whiteasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he will be introducing new arrangements for the issue of driving licences.
§ Mr. PeytonOn 1st March the new centralised driver licensing system will begin to replace the existing system, and a new style of driving licence will gradually replace the old. I have placed in the Vote Office a supply of specimens of the new-style licence and application forms. New drivers will be licensed under the new system from the start. Existing drivers will gradually be brought within the new arrangements over the next three years, depending on when their current licence expires.
