§ 20. Mr. Douglasasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on the relationship between the Offshore Supplies Office and the Industrial Development Executive, with particular reference to financing research and development.
§ Mr. EmeryThe Offshore Supplies Office is part of the Industrial Development Executive and, as I said in Glasgow on Friday, will work closely with the Industrial Development Unit, which helps in appraising industrial development needs. On research and development questions, it will work closely with the DTI's Research Division, which deals with research funds through the Ship and Marine Technology Requirements Board.
