§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe Community regulations laying down the quality standards for eggs graded and packed at registered packing stations came into operation in the United Kingdom on 1st February. They provide that the shells of such eggs must be undamaged. The provision does not apply to ungraded eggs sold by a producer direct to a consumer.
