HL Deb 05 February 1973 vol 338 c957WA
LORD GRANVILLE OF EYE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What plans are envisaged to develop a satisfactory road system—apart from East/West trunk routes—around King's Lynn, in view of the growing industrial activity in that area.

LORD SANDFORD

King's Lynn already has an Eastern by-pass, and others to the North and South are now being constructed. These new routes will facilitate the movement of traffic to King's Lynn's industrial estates. In addition to the comprehensive improvement of A.17 to the West and A.47 to the East of the town, announced in June, 1971, trunk road A.10 between King's Lynn and Cambridge is also to be substantially improved.
