§ Mr. Topeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has studied the recent report submitted to him by the organisation Crisis at Christmas on the housing problems of homeless single people; and what action he proposes to take in the light of the evidence it contains.
§ Mr. ChannonI have obtained a copy of "Women, alone and homeless" issued by Crisis at Christmas. I am glad to say that the shortage of hostel accommodation to which it draws attention will be helped by new arrangements for financial support for local authorities and housing associations which will be included in forthcoming legislation.
