§ Mr. Peter ThomasSeven inspectors of the Planning Inspectorate of the Department of the Environment are at present based in Wales and deal largely, though not entirely, with Welsh cases. In 1971 the number was six. But extensive use is also made of inspectors based in England for the handling of Welsh cases.
