§ 28. Mr. Peter Archerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what consultations he has had in connection with the decision whether to renew the rights of individual petition under the European Convention on Human Rights.
§ Mr. Anthony RoyleAs the hon. and learned Member will now be aware, we intend to renew our acceptance of Article 25 of the convention for a further two years. The matter was one for the Government alone to decide. The question of consultations did not arise.
