§ Mr. LaneThe Breeding of Dogs Act 1973 places the duty of licensing and inspecting dog breeding establishments on local authorities. Before granting a licence the local authority must satisfy itself on conditions at the establishment, particularly on the matters specified in Section 1(4) of the Act.
