§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he has taken to provide detoxification centres in view of Section 34 of the Criminal Justice Act 1972.
§ Sir K. JosephHospital boards were invited to put forward proposals and as a result detoxification centres are currently being planned at Manchester and Birmingham. In addition two community based centres in North-East and South-West London are under discussion.
