§ 49. Mr. Evelyn Kingasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will introduce legislation in order to reform the administration of estates of bankrupts in view of the inefficiencies and costs involved in the present system.
§ Sir G. HoweThe Government cannot undertake that time will be available for major bankruptcy legislation in the present Parliament. But I hope to include in the forthcoming Companies Bill provisions aimed at restoring the values of monetary limits in the Bankruptcy Acts and at modifying audit procedures.
