§ Mr. Cyril Smithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will expedite the issue of the regulations dealing with compensation for loss of office, and the superannuation regulations, consequent upon the reorganisation of local government, in view of the fact that local goverment officers are having to make decisions on whether to apply for 347W jobs on the basis of information contained in consultative documents only.
§ Mr. Graham PageDrafts of these regulations were issued for consultation with the associations and organisations concerned last July ; comments have been received and considered and I will see that the regulations themselves are issued as soon as possible.
