§ Mr. Anthony GrantThe Department has received a number of representations in the last year or so for action to be taken to reduce the growth of imports of Japanese electronic products—particularly in the consumer goods field—either by the introduction of import quotas or by other means. These representations have been taken into account, together with other relevant factors, in the formulation of the Government's policy towards 145W trade relations with Japan. A careful watch is being kept on the developing situation.
