§ Mr. RipponSince the Department was established in 1970 24 applications for consent to re-employment outside the Civil Service have been considered in the light of the prospective employers'—or firms'—relationship with the Government and from the point of view of the confidentiality of information known by the applicant. In no case has it been thought necessary to withhold consent.
