§ Sir G. HoweThe Commission has set up a directorate for consumer and environmental affairs which reports direct to the Commissioner responsible, Signor Scarascia Mugnozza. On my recent visit to Brussels I impressed upon the Commission the importance we attach to the effective consideration of consumer affairs.
