§ 27. Mr. Selwyn Gummerasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what plans she has for encouraging the exchange of students between the countries of the EEC so that increased opportunities are available for young people to study in the universities of the EEC countries.
§ Mr. St. John-StevasThe European Scholarship Scheme announced by my right hon. Friend on 6th March 1972 has brought an encouraging response from a number of countries. My Department is now co-operating with the British Council and the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges in a series of conferences in this country and missions abroad aimed at facilitating a further expansion of student exchanges.
