§ Mr. Douglas-Mannasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what differences there are between the total of personal incomes, details of which are returned for income tax purposes, and the estimated total of such incomes compiled from other sources; to what extent he estimates that any discrepancy between the two figures is a consequence of failure on the part of taxpayers to make adequate returns; and what is the estimated annual loss to the Exchequer of such failure.
