Mr. George Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on what dates repayment of capital and payments of interest have been due from Uganda since 1st January 1972; and whether all payments have been made on the due dates.

All payments have been made on the due dates.

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on what dates funds from the £6½ million and £5½ million loans to Uganda had been released during the months of February and March; and what amount was released on each occasion.

£8.15 was released from the £5½ million loan on 26th February 1973. Releases from the £6½ million Loan in February and March 1973 wereOn 2nd February, £24,565.25 and £527.84; 5th February, £12400; 7th February, £469.49; 2nd March, £4.172.20 and £57.23; 12th March, £7.52; 15th March, £3,393.68 and £1,268.27; 16th March, £321.84; 21st March, £821.05 27th March, £316.78.

Mr. George Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether any restriction has been placed on the taking of funds out of Uganda by the Commonwealth Development Corporation.
