Mr. David Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what were the populations of the local government units comprising each of the National Parks in England in the latest available year; and what were the corresponding figures for the 10 years previously.

As the hon. Member will know, the boundaries of National Parks do not coincide with those of local government areas. It is thus not possible without a disproportionate amount of work to provide the precise information requested.
