Mr. Edward Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware of the hardship suffered by elderly and disabled residents of multi-storey flats and mothers of young children residing in such high flats when lift services were suspended during the last power dispute; and if he will initiate discussions with the Scottish electricity boards on the feasibility of maintaining such lift services in any future power dispute.
